POLREF Polarised Neutron Reflectometer for magnetic and nuclear depth profiling of thin films (magnetic and non-magnetic). Basically a depth-dependent in-plane vector magnetometer that also provides structural information as a function of depth. This can be done in magnetic fields up to 3T and at low and high temperatures. I also have access to Rigaku X-ray kits with temperature stages, MPMS SQUID. I have Extensive experience of reflectivity (Neutron and X-ray) data analysis.
Scientific focus and expertise
Thin film magnetism and superconductivity, Reflectivity techniques, diffraction and XMCD.
Industry challenge(s)
I am very keen to work with industry and get industry to use the ISIS neutron facility. ISIS has special free at the point of access industrial access for this purpose.
